Wild Redbands & Steelhead in Wild and Scenic Canyons
Perhaps the most spectacular and varied river of our region with large and plentiful Wild Redband trout in its upper reaches, and Wild Steelhead and half pounders below Iron Gate Dam. Designated wild and scenic canyons, serious whitewater and year round angling opportunity mean there is a fly fishing trip for every one here. We guide more miles of the Klamath then any other outfitter and our unique trips in Oregon and California showcase the very best this river has to offer.
Whitewater Trout
Our fly fishing trips on the Upper Klamath are one of a kind! Robust populations of hearty, aggressive & Wild Redband trout hold their own against any other wild trout in the world. It’s a harsh and powerful river making these fish extremely tough. Remote canyons, abundant birdlife and whitewater make for a uniquely fun and an exhilarating experience. These adventure trips are perfect for anglers seeking an unfiltered excursion where fishing is still what it was “back in the day.”
steelhead
Historically, the third largest producer of Salmon and Steelhead on the west coast, the Klamath steelhead have 26 unique life cycles and are available 8 months out of the year. Klamath Steelhead are the friendliest on the west coast and it’s the best river to learn what Steelhead fly fishing is all about, or simply catch one! Hone your swing tactics, two handed casting and indicator nymhing with enough positive reenforcement to buck the old saying, “Steelhead are the fish of a thousand casts.”
